my name is darren rose or rosie to friends in 1989. the lost in space rave was sort of in my name as a leaving party as i was leaving leeds for sydney the next day. the police turned up in riot gear really quite early on and lined us up in the tent then called out a number of men by name, maybe dean bryant occy and myself and we were strip searched just outside of the tent. id had a couple a windows and calis and it was a surprise hear my name . still i complied with a smile. i was then placed in a large van that i had rented as i was taking people from the warehouse and other destinations around leeds to the event in the van. i sat there in the passenger side with a police guard in the drivers seat. i was then interrogated outside the van before being released to drive the van off the site towards leeds, as i drove i began to pick people up who were walking and the van became very full very quickly, what a laugh it was in the van with so many of us plotted. i was re arrested by around 10am and interrogated at garforth nick before being released to catch my flight to singapore and arriving in sydney a few days later. R.i.P to the ones lost since then and my love to all who are still here.
